Seeing, Thinking, and Living in Your Good

Updated: Jun 22, 2020

If you want a brighter and happier future, no longer allow space in your head for wrongs done in the past.

Did you know that positive thinking scientifically rewires the brain through a process called "neuroplasticity?" You can be smart to try to help prevent future mishaps, but do not dwell or entertain the rehashing of the same old negative stories.

The more you think good thoughts about your life, the more positive you will feel about outcomes. The more positive you feel about outcomes, the more likely the outcomes for your future efforts will be. Take the daily gratitude and "what's good" challenge. Before you go to sleep and when you wake up, list ten things (in your head or written in a journal) that are good in your life for 21 days. Note how your day was on the first day. And then, note how you feel on day 21.

Felling stuck in past unhappy thoughts? Therapy helps you deal with the past. Life coaching is about the future!

Quote:

“The more you talk about it, rehash it, rethink it, cross analyze it, debate it, respond to it, get paranoid about it, compete with it, complain about it, immortalize it, cry over it, kick it, defame it, stalk it, gossip about it, pray over it, put it down or dissect its motives, it continues to rot in your brain. It is dead. It is over. It is gone. It is done.It is time to bury it because it is smelling up your life, and no one wants to be near your rotted corpse of memories and decaying attitude. Be the funeral director of your life and bury that thing!” ― Shannon L. Alder
